Youth Impact: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

"Youth Impact: Strengthening Organizational Capacities to Build Peace in Europe", is a partnership of UNOY Peacebuilders and five European UNOY members (one of them being SCI) focusing on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) practices within youth peacebuilding organisations. 
Youth Impact
The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the capacities of youth organisations working on peace education in the areas of strategic development and organizational management in order to foster quality improvements in youth work in general, and youth peace education in particular and to promote young people’s active citizenship at European level in accordance to the EU Youth Strategy 2010 – 2018.
Specific objectives
  • To enhance the capacities of the partner organisations for strategic development by strengthening their monitoring, evaluation and learning processes
  • To gain in-depth understanding of European youth organisation’s need for and use of monitoring, evaluation and learning processes
  • To develop functional guidelines for monitoring, evaluation and learning processes for youth organizations
The project includes six research visits to the partner organisations, three transnational meetings, inputs for the research report will be gathered through Training for Trainers and  the upcoming Young Peacebuilders Forum in November 2015, and, finally,  the production and the publication of a research report on MEL and MEL guidelines for youth-led peace organizations.
Project duration: 01-02-2015 till 31-07-2016
