The conflict in Syria has been continuing for almost 6 years now and the situation seems to become more and more hopeless.  Yet, Jafra, a Syrian NGO and contact organisation of SCI, keeps on working within the difficult circumstances to bring relief and hope to the people. Last week, Wilbert Hesloot from SCI’s No More War team, conducted an interview with Wesam, a key-figure in Jafra Foundation, currently based in Beirut.

Greetings from the International President of SCI, Ma?gorzata (Go?ka) Tur, recently elected at SCI's General Assembly, after being the active president for the past 2 years. Here she shares the International Executive Committee's motivation for the coming year and sends her best wishes for a year full of joy and rich in SCI activities!

We are delighted to announce that the Work Plan for 2017 submitted to the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe has been approved! The project will be an important part of of SCI's current campaign Building Bridges. Find out more and how you can get involved! 

SCI wants to thank volunteers all around the world for the year of 2016. Branches around the world sent us video clips with greetings and new year wishes to their volunteers. Suvi, our EVS at the International Secretariat put it together into one video. In the video Femi from VWAN Nigeria summarizes well what we want to say: “Thank you to all volunteers for your contribution to world peace. We are grateful for the important work you are doing. In the coming year we can do even more. Thank you!”

Building Bridges, SCI’s grassroots awareness raising campaign on the issues facing those seeking refuge and asylum has released a brand new inspirational promotion video.
