Inspiration and caffeine in the Project Café: boosting our project management capacities

Greetings from Berlin! You would say, why don’t we have a picture at the Alexanderplatz during Christmas market? Because in SCI Germany we were extremely busy at the first activity ‘Project Pub’ in terms of the training cycle ‘Project Café’. There were 30 participants from ll around Europe: Albania, Armenia, Austria, Serbia, Montenegro, Italy, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Greece, Russia, Poland, Hungary, Kosovo and Germany gathered to bring and share their ideas and got some inspiration from the training on project management. Everyone works on their own projects, and the topics are pretty diverse: sustainability, education, eco-camps, new technology or upcycling.

During one week (9-15 December) we've been working on creating and developing our ideas in order to improve and expand them in the future. The participants developed competences in basic project design tools, how to run need assessments, different approaches how to sustainably implement projects and finally developing ideas into project concepts. Hopefully, all of them will create a positive impact and bring changes in our local communities!
The venue of the seminar was at cultural and education centre KuBiZ, which is an environmentally friendly, creative seminar- and guesthouse, where a lot of SCI-Germany projects and workcamps take place!
We are grateful to all the motivated participants as well as to Erasmus+ for giving us an opportunity to organise and realize this seminar!

P.S. The second activity ‘Project Hub’ is going to be soon (February 2020, in Serbia), and is dedicated to better understanding of allocation of resources and  of planning own capacities as well as seeking inspiration from social entrepreneurs. Interested?! Stay tuned!
