As a follow-up to the Balkan study trip of the “A Route To Connect” project, coordinated by SCI with the support of the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe, the participants are organizing local events in their home countries in collaboration with their local SCI branch on the theme of people seeking asylum.

There are 10 different events happening all around Europe, of which three events have already taken place in Italy, Kosovo and Switzerland. Most of the events were planned to be happen during three key dates: World Refugee Day (20 June), International Youth Day (12 August) and International Day Of Peace (21 September), but some branches have been granted permission to have their event on another date, if the event will take place with another event for example. Inspired by the study trip, the participants and branches have come up with a large variety of different kind of activities: festivals, workcamps, dinners, workshops, film documentaries, human libraries, street action and photo exhibitions.
