Posted by projects on Jul 31

The Peers to Peace Learning Seminar took place in Penang, Malaysia from 13-20 July, 2017, bringing together 26 participants from SCI branches, networks and members of the IEC. A big thank you to all participants, organizers and volunteers that made this Learning Seminar a success.

The Learning Seminar focused on the topics of knowledge management and fundraising. During the course of the seminar, participants engaged in thought exercises, best practice exchanges and brainstorming sessions in order to asses current fundraising/knowledge management practices and highlighting some options for the future. The outcomes of these activities will be shared by the Peers to Peace project soon.

The Asian Platform meeting was also organized in parallel, focusing on discussing topics that are specific to the region and interacting with the seminar participants. Additionally, the Olives platform was discussed as a knowledge management tool and suggestions were made for further improvement.

The Peer to Peace project (co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme) is a project that focuses on peer-learning and peer-support within the SCI movement. This includes increasing the capacities of the SCI movement as a whole, fostering cooperation between organizations, and, improving the quality of the international volunteer and youth activities.
