GAIA MicroGrants still open for applications!

Posted by projects on Jun 26

Seven projects have already received support from GAIA MicroGrants this year and the applications keep rolling in.

Activists will be planting trees in India and Indonesia, promoting sustainable lifestyles in Italy, helping out at community garden in Indonesia, supporting an eco farm in Malaysia, teaching vermi-composting in Hungary and experiencing alternative lifestyle in Slovenia. If you have an idea that fits one of the funding areas (Making our food systems sustainable or Preparing for climate change impacts), you can apply as well! You’ll find all the necessary information (including guides that will help you prepare a quality application) on SCI’s web page.

As always application and evaluation processes are designed to be accessible even for those who never applied for any financial support before. We are hoping to continue making GAIA MicroGrants a learning opportunity for SCI activists and branches, while at the same time promoting proactive approach to climate change.

Check out examples of recent projects, ask your questions and share your comments through GAIA MicroGrants Programme Facebook group.

Thanks for GAIA encouragement - the team embarked on an Eco-project in this highland farm, roping in several new volunteers who had a wonderful training as Farmer and converted them to become Vege lovers. Their positive farming experiences even got a full page coverage in a national newspaper. Syabas (well done
