International Secretariat

The SCI International Secretariat is based in Antwerp, Belgium.  Currently three staff persons are working here together with three Long Term Volunteers. At the International Secretariat we are busy with the international coordination of SCI, which includes finance and insurance, support to international working groups, PR and communication, international meetings, campaigns and projects, exchange support and volunteer management.

Who are the people at the International Secretariat?

Lea Csikos - Interim International Coordinator

Lea joins us at the International Coordinator, while Sara Turra, is on maternity leave. Lea is the head of the office and an ex-oficio member of the IEC. She takes care of international coordination and deals with project and grant management as well as representing the organisation externally in various networks. Ossi Lemstrom  - Finance and Administration Officer

Alena Čápová- Project Officer

Alena from the Czech Republic has been living in Belgium for 5 years now. She brings with her a wide experience in project management and in the volunteering sector. Alena takes care of projects within the IS together with Sara and Ela, and focuses on the two main applications recently approved: "PATH - Peace activism through lessons from history of forced migration" (Remembrance Programme) and "Peers to Peace" (KA2, Erasmus+ Programme). Chantal Doran - Communication and Volunteer Coordinator

Chantal was born in Curacao and grew up in the Netherlands. She completed her education in Scotland, the US and Japan, studying international relations, sustainability, and peace. Chantal oversees all of SCI International's communication activities and coordinates the long-term volunteers at the International Secretariat. Martina Pieri - EVS Volunteer

Martina, from Italy, joins us at the International Secretariat as part of the EVS project: "InterGREAT! Volunteers Building Bridges". Martina supports with communication activities at the IS with a special emphasis on the "Building Bridges Campaign". She is the face behind all our newsletters and social media accounts! Suvi Helko- EVS Volunteer

Suvi, from Finland, also joins us as part of the EVS project: "InterGREAT! Volunteers Building Bridges". Geoffrey Rebollo - Service Civique Long Term Volunteer

Geoffrey, the first volunteer at the IS to join us with the Service Civique Programme comes from France. Sky So - EVS Volunteer

Sky, from Hong Kong, joins us as part of SCI's international project, Peers to Peace, and will be with us until end of October 2017. As part of the project, Sky will be supporting us with organising the Peer University in Poland and the Learning Seminar on Knowledge Management and Fundraising that will take place Malaysia.
