As every year, SCI has the aim to get thousands of people involved in workcamps around the world, enabling them to be part of community projects and encouraging them to experience volunteering as a way of life.

SCI recommendations on the European Solidarity Corps

The recent launch of the European Solidarity Corps and the subsequent consultations have been closely followed by SCI. We indeed welcome this initiative and we hope that we can define it and give it a framework that we will all benefit from. To do so we recently published SCI's position paper to share several of our main points including some suggestions on the Communication from the Commission on European Solidarity Corps (COM(2016) 942) released on 7 December 2016, you can read our key recommendations in the SCI Position Paper.

Building Inclusive Paths – a project for non-violent resolution of conflict

From 16th to 18th of March the final event of the “Building Inclusive Paths” project took place in Rome. It was the conclusive moment after a  year and a half project, where the final outcomes were presented, through round tables, workshops and databases.
