A Human Library with Refugee Stories

Posted by projects on Aug 22

The main aim of a Human Library is to enable people to meet, listen to each other, overcome fears and/or prejudices. On the 26th of June, SCI Switzerland organized a Human Library with refugee stories in one of Berne's transit centers for asylum seekers. The event was part of an "open doors day" where neighbours and interested people could come and visit the facilities and its inhabitants.

The forum will bring together around 50 participants from organisations that are actively involved in transnational volunteering - EVS as well as other programmes - coming from all over Europe and its neighbouring regions.
